About Richard Lund
Richard Lund spent more than 35 years shooting pictures for movies and television. He made background pictures that he enlarged on transparent film called translites. He shot scenes for 240 feature films and a lot of television. He made all the backgrounds for Jay Leno's late night shows. He shot scenes at the White House twice for the West Wing. He regularly worked throughout the United States and Canada featuring New York City most frequently. He made backgrounds for the first four Spider-Man films and the first two Ghostbusters movies. Richard spent a night on the Great Pyramid of Egypt with five 8X10 cameras for a film called Ruby Cairo.
He also presents pictures from a special archive of pictures from the 1930s and 1940s used for the Shipman Process. These images have been hidden out of any view for more than 40 years. Richard is slowly bringing them to the light of day.
